HIGHER EDUCATION

K-12 Partnerships & In-person Service Learning

MSI is well positioned to work with higher educational and K-12 stakeholders to build partnerships. Dr. Stovall, once the Director of the Moelis Access Science (MAS) Program, worked with the University of Pennsylvania’s (Penn) leadership, administration, faculty, staff, and students in several STEM-related departments in schools across Penn’s campus as a model for how higher educational institutions can engage K-12 schools in their geographic communities in a meaningful, collaborative, and comprehensive manner around STEAM.

ADVISING + MENTORSHIP

MSI is well positioned to work with both formal and informal educational stakeholders interested in partnering together. Dr. Stovall served as Mathematician and Director of STEM Youth and School Programs at The Franklin Institute (TFI) – a premier science center working with motivated youth across the greater Philadelphia region. As a result of TFI’s founding partnership of the innovative, project-based, high school Science Leadership Academy (SLA), piloting of the Woodard Program connecting TFI to Penn, and its extensive network nationally, and internationally, Dr. Stovall was invited to the White House to participate in the 1st STEM Mentoring Symposium as part of President Obama’s US2020 Initiative to recruit, organize, resource, and plan the mobilization of one million STEM professionals across all working sectors to mentor youth nationally.
